Recent Status: Frequent across Suffolk.
Life Style: Night flying and comes to light. Is double brooded being found in mid-summer and also hibernating from an autumn fight period. The larvae feed from spun leaves of Salix and Populus.
Identification: The species is a large Acleris with notably broad shoulders and a slightly concave costa. It is exceedingly variable with many named varieties. It does not possess the large scale tuft of A. cristana. More Info
